Bio: As a 34 year old mama diagnosed with Insulin Resistance and PCOS, my hope is to provide a platform for women to learn, understand, and conquer. This is my journey as I work to navigate medications, low carb recipes, workouts, and all the emotions that come with Insulin Resistance. Let's face it carbs...it is time to break up* *subject to change based on emotions, will power, holidays, stress, restaurants, parties, alcohol, business trips, vacations, cheat meals, and any other factor that makes staying with carbs seem like the best decision in the moment.

Thanks for following my blog! I look forward to reading your posts on PCOS. It’s such a complex syndrome, isn’t it? I’ve been trying to get my symptoms under control for about a year now, without the use of Metformin or BC pills (which I’ve taken in the past but hated how they made me feel). I really think it’s all about moving more and finding the way to eat that works best for your body.

Hi,
I really like your blog and can completely relate to “the carb breakup” (love the name, btw!) and how difficult it is! I am a type one diabetic and have PCOS as well, so I know the struggle. I’ve nominated you for the Liebster award (details here: http://vegabetes.com/2015/03/02/liebster-award/), because I think it’s a great way to encourage bloggers to keep up the good work.
Wish you all the best, Tan

Hi, thank you for following my blog and I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but it sounds like you are handling it well. I have been eating low carb for around 12 years now but have really gotten serious about cutting out refined carbohydrates in the last few years. I have found that eating this way is the best way for me to maintain a healthy weight range. I hope you enjoy my recipes and fitness tips!

Thanks for following my blog, Iβm quite looking forward to reading yours as I finally decided to change my own carb relationship. I have MS and gained weight because of medication followed by too much inactivity. It’s time to kick it all in the bum so π

I am a thirty-seven-year-old woman who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes over a year ago. I am so glad I found you! I I am also on a mission for women to be the healthiest version of themselves, on their terms. I am very excited to read more from you. It can be lonely living in an insulin resistant and/or insulin absent world.
